We are a small, senior team doing work that changes how services firms run. We are always looking for good people, and we don't mind where you work from* - Australia, the UK, the Philippines or somewhere we haven't been yet.
The one condition: you're willing to travel to be with the team in person a few times a year.
Our people work directly with partners and practice managers, on projects where the outcome is visible and the accountability is direct.
You own your function early at FGS. Everyone here is proud of their work (one of our core values). You are expected to form a view, put it forward and back it with evidence - one of our values is two-way communication, and to be successful that must operate in every direction: up, down, inside and out. Another is to grow from every experience, including the projects that test us. Self-reflection is critical to growth, and how we all learn from each other.
Day to day the work is remote (our home is Sydney, Australia) and co-working desks offered to all, wherever you are. Being client-facing is a critical part of every role at FGS - online and in person.
We are incredibly proud of our people, and we strive to give a rewarding career experience to all our people. A few times a year we get as many people as we can in the same room - part planning, part training, part to connect as humans.
Location is not a barrier to joining us, or to getting the interesting work.
Our founding operation, based in Sydney, with team members across several states filling every role we have, serving clients in Australia & New Zealand.
Our London operation serves firms across the UK, Europe, and the Middle East and Africa.
A substantial part of our delivery capability sits here, across support, project administration and consulting.
Consultants: travel to be with the team roughly quarterly.
Everyone else: at least once a year.
Four tracks, each with room to move and progress at pace.
Our ledger conversion team and assistants. Precise work that every migration and rollout, and our senior team depends on.
The engine room of every project: scheduling, data preparation, client communication and the detail that keeps a project honest.
In front of the client. You diagnose how a practice runs, design the change, give the advice and lead the team through it.
Accountable at the partner table. Sets strategy with client leadership, owns client relationships and leads a team.
There is no limit on how far you go here, and no restriction by age or background.
Progression follows contribution and capability. People who take ownership get more of it.
That extends to ideas. Our team have a history of bringing opportunities they want to pursue with our support. If it fits our core purpose of implementing and optimising technology for professional services firms, and the commercials make sense, we'll back you to go and run with it.
An accounting education or background will serve you well, but it isn't critical. What else helps:
Nothing here that fits? Enquire anyway — we hire when the right person turns up.
Junior consultants, plus Optimisation and Implementation consultants, in all regions.
Junior through senior, wherever you are based.
Someone to run the day-to-day of our UK operation.
A senior commercial lead for the Australian business.
Enquiries come straight to our Managing Director and stay between us. No CV required to start the conversation - a few lines about what you do now and what interests you is enough.
